Stag Timber Floors · Central Coast & Hunter Valley
There are two ways I use the Bona PowerScrubber at your place, and each one is a service in its own right. A Full Deep Clean is a restoration-grade wash for floors that are healthy but dulled by years of grime. A Recoat is the same deep clean plus a fresh Bona top coat over the existing finish. Both finish in hours, not days, and neither requires you to move out.
Full Deep Clean (no recoat) is for floors where the coating is still intact but the surface looks dull or dirty — cooking residue in the kitchen, foot-traffic film in hallways, polish buildup in living areas, sticky residue after renovation. The PowerScrubber runs two counter-rotating brushes that dispense Bona Deep Clean solution, scrub the boards, and vacuum the dirty water straight back up in one pass. It pulls out grime that mopping just smears around. No coats, no abrasion, no disruption — just the timber you forgot you had, usually back the same afternoon.
Recoat is everything the deep clean does, plus a fresh Bona top coat. Once the floor is surgically clean I mechanically abrade the existing finish so the new coat keys into it properly, then lay down a commercial-grade Bona top coat. You get the durability and sheen of a full re-sand without the dust, the vacating, or the thickness loss that comes from sanding timber away. Furniture goes straight back the same day.
Three tiers depending on what your floor needs: Revive (full deep clean only), Refresh (deep clean plus a Freshen Up top coat for light protection), or Recoat (deep clean plus a durable Bona top coat for long-term wear). I’ll tell you straight which one suits when I come out — and if your floor is past recoating and genuinely needs a full re-sand, I’ll say that too.
I check whether the existing coating is sound. If the finish has failed or the timber is scratched through, a full re-sand may be the better call — I'll tell you straight.
The Bona PowerScrubber dispenses Bona Deep Clean solution, scrubs with counter-rotating brushes and extracts the dirty water in one pass. Built-up grime, polish residue and contaminants lifted — the floor's left dry and surgically clean.
Mechanical screen/buff of the existing coating to give the new coat something to key into. No deep sanding — the existing finish stays, just roughed up enough to bond.
Fresh Bona top coat laid over the top. Commercial-grade finish, dust-free job, floor looks near-new. Quicker and cheaper than a full sand and polish, and it extends the life of the floor by years.
Commercial-grade machine from Bona. Two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes dispense Bona Deep Clean Solution, scrub the boards, and extract the dirty water in one pass — the floor's left dry and surgically clean. Works on rough, brushed, bevelled and parquet timber, plus decks and hard-surface floors.
Most deep-clean jobs wrap in a single visit. A full sand-and-polish is a multi-day event — deep clean is measured in hours.
No dust, no empty rooms, no vacating the premises. Furniture goes straight back. Minimal disruption to the household or business.
Old polish residue, grease, foot-traffic film and ingrained grime that regular cleaning leaves behind. Water-based formula, safe on virtually any coated surface.
Sanding timber back takes thickness off the boards — each sand shortens the floor's life. A deep clean and recoat preserves the timber and adds years to the finish.
Deep clean only. Floor walkable almost immediately. Best when the existing coating is still sound and just tired-looking.
Deep clean plus a Bona Freshen Up topcoat. Ready within hours — adds a protective layer without a full recoat.
Deep clean plus a durable finish — commercial-grade Bona top coat. Ready the next day. Extends the floor's life by years.
I do every job myself — start to finish. The person who quotes it is the person who does the work.
Water-based and modified oil systems from Bona — low odour, non-toxic, durable.
